Our Director, Dr. Dan “Ada” Li, L.Ac, Ph.D  is a Board-Certified Acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is currently licensed in VA, MD, and DC.

 Dr. Li graduated from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM) and obtained an MS in Oriental Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Li has a MS in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Neuroendocrinal Reproductive Physiology, both from Hiroshima University, Japan. Prior to her acupuncture career, Dr. Li performed research as a scientist at the National Institute of Health, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.   

 During her youth in China, Dr. Li was influenced in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by her family and began learning TCM since she was a teenager. After graduating from VUIM, Dr. Li performed her clinical training at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in China. Dr. Li integrates knowledge of Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine in her practice. She has successfully helped patients with various conditions including Acute & Chronic Pain, Emotional Wellbeing, Gastro Intestinal issues, Male and Female reproduction problems, Pulmonary conditions, Neurological, Cardiac, Dermatology, and many other issues. Dr. Li speaks English, Japanese, Chinese Mandarin, and Chinese Sichuan Dialect.
